We know a single traumatic event can already result in PTSD showing symptoms like anger, depression, and anxiety.
If you take a single traumatic event and multiply it, or have prolonged exposure to a traumatic experience- it can result in CPTSD, or Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
This creates trauma that is deeper ingrained and can be harder to heal from, taking more time and more effort.
We often see CPTSD in veterans of war, people who have experienced recurring sexual abuse, or even those with religious trauma syndrome.
